Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Oh what joy it is to be with someone of like mind in the Lord.  The endless conversation, the encouragement, and the wisdom gained.  At this point in my life I don't have friends -- at least not close friends -- besides my family and my God.  God and his word satisfies all my needs for friendship as I study his word searching his character and his wisdom.

Although God keeps me full, what a pleasure it would be to have a close friend to share in this godly fellowship.  A fellowship of close believers, learning, praying, comforting, playing, reading, discussing, and just knowing you have a fellow friend in the Lord.  John 17 and 1 John 1 describe this fellowship, this unitiy, this iron sharpening iron; that we may be closer and a better servant to the God we love.
