Isaiah 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

This verse reminds me of the ancient Egyptian saying - "So let it be written, so let it be done."

God is in control; God has though and God has purposed and it shall come to pass.  What a wonderful promise by God.  What is hard for us as humans to grasp is what God has though and purposed may not be apparent to us.  We often do not know why things happen and it's this way to force us to trust God.

God has made many promises in his word.  We need to seek out these promises and be bold in approaching God for those things.  We don't deserve these promises but the Lord keeps his word and desires that we rely on him and allow him to influence our lives and bless us.
