Isaiah 50:4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

God grants us the ability to know Him and communicate truth.  How sad when we take the task of knowing God and searching the scriptures upon ourselves without relying on God and His power.  It is too easy to continue reading books about the book rather then reading God's book.  It's important to learn straight from the source lest we be "ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2Ti 3:7

God, through His word is able to pass on wisdom to us, making us wise.  The scriptures tell us who we are really are, it portrays humans as they are, not some glorified view of mankind found in man-made literature.  It shows us our sinful state; it's able to convert the soul and make one wise (Ps 19:7, 2Ti 3:15); it's to be used for teaching, for reproof, for correction and instruction in righteousness (2Ti 3:16).  It is the only book we need, all sufficient and infallible.

May we ask God to grant us wisdom and to be able to share that wisdom with others.  Stay in the word.
