Isaiah 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live

What do we do if we cannot hear someone speak?  He turn our head so that our hear faces them, we 'incline our ear'.  What do we do if we still cannot hear or want to understand what they are saying better?  We get closer to them, we 'come unto them'.

God is telling us to hear Him, to turn our head so we can hear better and get nice and close so we can hear clearly.  God speaks to us through His word, so we must turn our eyes to it's pages, study and mine it for knowledge of our great creator.  We must pour over it's pages and understand it and take it into our hearts and let the Spirit of God use it to transform our lives into the image of Christ.

There is a great promise if we come to God and listen, if we come to His word and meditate on it -- 'your soul shall live'.
