Welcome to my Daily Reading Blog. Currently I'm doing a daily reading with a number of other men from our church where we read through a book of the Bible every day for a month.

Each of my daily posts consist of a thought or a verse that I found noteworthy from my reading.

During the month of August we are reading Romans chapters 13 to 16 once a day.

Are you an example?

Philippians 3:17 "Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us."

Philippians 4:9 "The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."

Paul exhorts the Philippians to follow in his example. As he strives towards the goal and lives in a manner worthy of the gospel he wants others to see him as an example of how to live in light of the wonderful work of Christ.

Could we say the same for ourselves? Are we an example to others? Do people look at us and see lives worthy of the name Christian?
