Philippians 1:23-24 "But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake." Not only did Paul not fear death, he has a desire to depart and to be with Christ. Do we share that desire? Do we long to be with Christ, leaving behind the things of this world? It's an interesting question that gets you thinking about what things have value and priority in your life. If we really do desire to be with Christ, then our life will follow His example. Philippians 1:21 "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Living or dying, Christ is our focus and the object of our desire. Tags: |
