Welcome to my Daily Reading Blog.  Currently I'm doing a daily reading with a number of other men from our church where we read through a book of the Bible every day for a month.

Each of my daily posts consist of a thought or a verse that I found noteworthy from my reading.

During the month of August we are reading Romans chapters 13 to 16 once a day.

Philippians 3:8 "I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord."

How does our view of Christ influence our view of other things?  Do things seem worthless in light of the truth of Jesus Christ coming into the world to die for our sin?

In light of eternity, the present things seem so insignificant.  Are we living for those things?  Or are we living for Christ and storing up treasure in heaven, our eternal home?

Above all things, God is the most valuable to me.  He is my Lord (master) and Savior (saving me from my sin).  He is the only one worthy of honor and praise.  All other things fade and fall away.
