Romans 1:20 "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse." So what are God's invisible attributes that have been clearly seen? In this case they are 1. His eternal power, and 2. His divine nature! The ESV makes the distinction clear by translating the verse this way. "For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse." The KJV also makes the same distinction obvious. "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" Tags: |
